6 months of development!

I want to first apologize to everyone for not updating the site since the twins’ birthday. I have over 100 photos taken, but haven’t really organized them or gotten around to uploading any…So, here a few shots of Chloe and Sage, age 12-18 months.
They both starting walking in January. We expected Chloe to walk first, since she was crawling for 2 months before Sage was, but the little guy just saw Chloe on two legs and decided that that was way better than crawling on all fours! Sage soon followed.
Words, words, words…Chloe loves to say “owl”. She learned it from a picture book we have and can’t stop saying it! Sage’s favorite is “up” when he wants to be picked up or when he want to get up on furniture. It’s funny when they mimic each other, too :)
We will promise to be better and try to post things more frequently!

About 2 weeks ago now the twins started to take more than just a step or two.

When I got back from a trip to San Francisco, they seem to have really gotten the hang of it.

Happy Birthday Chloe and Sage!

The twins turned 1-year- old on November 6th! They had a fun-filled day with family, presents, and carrot cake.
Chloe and Sage continue to amaze us- they’re still small for their age, but they’ve grown steadily and are healthy, happy babies :)
Chloe is close to walking. She can let go of something and take 2 steps before she falls down. Sage is happy crawling around still, but once he sees his sister on 2 feet he’ll be right behind.

Sage likes to point to everything. Matt thinks his first word is “up”, but I think he’s just making sounds still. He says “up” to everything he points to :)

Chloe and Sage love to chase each other and be chased by Mommy & Daddy. They love to be turned upside down, too- we get lots of laughs that way. The twins love to wave bye-bye when feeling social and clap their hands when they’re excited. The whole family has loads of fun playing peek-a-boo.

9 Months Old!

Well, today the twins are 9 months old. Chloe just started to crawl 3 days ago and she can go from crawling to sitting up by herself.

Sage is still not very interested in trying to crawl yet. He is just laid back and likes to be held more than his sister. Chloe seems to rather be on the floor than anywhere else for now. Chloe has 2 bottom teeth, 1 upper tooth and a 2nd upper coming in now. Sage still has only the 1 bottom tooth, but you can see others under the gums, so he is teething. They are eating solids 3 times a day now. No allergies yet. We are trying to introduce finger food, just bread crumbs for now. It’s been hot in Maine, so the kids have been outside strolling a lot. Here is a short video I made the other day of the twins.

Sheldon Yard Sale 2007

My folks had a Yard Sale on June 9th, 2007. We had some old clothes to add to it and made a whole $ 1.25 ( o ) . ( 0 )

Sage and Chloe were in good moods and we all had a good time. The twins are growing like weeds. So far Chloe has two bottom teeth, but Sage still has none. No crawling yet, but Chloe is slowly learning how to slide backwards. It will not be long before she is crawling and I’m sure once Sage sees her moving about, he too will be interested. The twins start Water Babies at the YMCA this weekend. I’ll make sure to post a few pictures. Life is good with the family! So glad its summer!

April in the Burgess House

It’s been a great month for the twins. Both Chloe and Sage are rolling over now and sleep through the night.

The first three months were the worst with lack of sleep, but for about a month now, they go to bed at 8pm and sleep till 6am. Sage does cry at 1-2am at times, but its only been a few. Meredith has been taking them out for strolls on the days she has off and I go too on weekends. We believe that both Sage and Chloe are teething, since they hold a part of their mouths and cry from time to time. I personally am looking forward to them being able to sit up by themselves :)

Spring is in the air

Quick note. The twins are doing great! Growing fast and starting to learn new things like holding their feet :)

Mother with Sage and Chloe. Sage kept closing his eyes when I take a photo and Chloe has red eyes. They are really starting to look like Kids, not just babies.

Three and a half months

Here are some pictures that my parents took of the twins when they stopped over to visit. I was not there, but they said Sage and Chloe were smiling and giggling up a storm. Close to 4 months old, they really have started to interact more. Chloe is talking (baby talk) a lot. She is having a grand old time. Sage is smiling more and starting to roll over on his side, like his sister does already.

The twins were both sick this month with ear infections :( I am glad they seem to be in better moods now :)

December 2006 Twins Picts

The babies are growing fast! Both are getting stronger, too. When Chloe is on her tummy, I swear she’s flying when I look at her pick up her head & feet. They’re also making new sounds every day. We introduced a mobile that hangs above the crib and Chloe & Sage are mesmerized by it- they stare at it until it stops, then cry until it’s turned back on again. We think they’re both night owls because they sleep more in the daylight than at night…not so good for the parents, though!
