Misty Virginia Hathorne
Rockland—Misty V. Hathorne, 27, died December 1, 2003, in Rockland. Born June 4, 1976, in Ellsworth, Maine, she was the daughter of Glenn R. Burgess and Jaceil M. and Malcolm S. Sheldon. She was married to Christopher M. Hathorne in May of 2000. They just recently moved to Rockland from Union.

She attended George’s Valley High School and received her G.E.D. from Job Corp. She worked in the recent past for Coastal Answering Service and Red Cross of Rockland Chapter. Misty loved all kinds of animals. Her dog, Sierra, a Great Dane, and her cat, Kidim’s, whom she loved dearly, they will miss her. She left behind many friends in the area, who will miss her beautiful smile and quick wit. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Christopher M. Hathorne of Rockland, she leaves behind her father, Glenn R. Burgess of Union; her mother and step father, Jaceil and Malcolm Sheldon of Warren; her brother Matthew Burgess and his fiance’ Meredith Jones of Lincolnville; her step brother, Christopher Jenson and his wife Beth of Freedom; her step brother Gregory D. Sheldon of Norfork, Mass.; her step brother Mark R. Sheldon of Portland; her uncle Donn and cousin Darren of Brockton, Mass. ;her uncle Gerald T. Johnston of Brewer; her uncle Carleton L. Johnston of Portland; her cousin Marsha Willett and her husband Anthony Willett and their children, Dragon and Mersia of Corrina, Maine. She was predecreased by her grandmother Daisy Virginia Burgess in 2001, and her paternal grandparents, Carl & Marilyn Johnston, and Aunt and Uncle, Marilyn and Victor Dyer of Dexter, Maine.
